I gave them 4 stars because the food was good, but the service was not. We had been seated for 10 minutes without seeing our server. I got up and told the manager. It was still another 5 minutes before she came to take our drink order. Thankfully, we didn't let her leave without giving her our food order too. For 10 people at our table, it took us over 2 hours for dinner. They claimed they were short handed, but service issues seem to be a common theme at this location.

Shouldn't have to check my stuff when I order To-Go. So frustrating to get home and not have all the food you paid for. Never going back.

Have heard so many people rave about this place. Not overly impressed. I think I could get just as good a milkshake at any diner elsewhere. Dairy Queen comes to mind. TD;DR: good milkshakes. Nothing special.

I've eaten at a Purple Cow Restaurant before, but never at this one. First, the restaurant is very clean and the decor is retro...my favorite. The menu is filled with yummy choices. First, we shared the sampler of appetizers. I loved the fried pickle spears. My niece who loves cheese got to eat fried cheese. She loved it! I ordered a burger with Cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato, and pickle, just like I wanted. Their motto should be, "Have it your way." But that's already taken. I also ordered onion rings. Everyone else said that their burgers were the best they'd eaten in a long time. Not like fast food. But served hot and fresh. Purple Cow gets ! Great food. Awesome service. Clean. Fantastic Oldies music. Comfortable booth, big enough for 5 adults and 2 kids. It made my day!

Chose this because of reviews. The purple vanilla shake was quite tasty more than I could drink at once too. I had the Bleu Cheese burger and with fries. The spread was quite thin and oozed off burger but it was good. Service was quick but my waitress at wasn't very attentive. Only came once after I got my food.

I had a Patty Melt with Bacon. It was really good. My sweetie had the 5 Alarm Burger. He gives it 5 stars for flavor but 2 stars for heat. The homemade chips are delicious. We took away 1 star because of the lack of heat on the burger and a fly that annoyed the hell out of us at our table. Our server (Heather, I think) was adorable. Almost forgot, we got Pinapple shake and Orange Dreamsicle with Oreo. Flavors were perfect. CANNOT use a straw but they also give you a spoon. We like this place.

We were passing through town and were hungry, instead of fast food my friend suggested this place. I walked in to place a to-go order and the manager was extremely polite and helpful. Took less than 10 minutes and I was out the door and we were back on the road. I got the rodeo burger which was excellent, along with fries which you could tell were fresh-cut and very yummy. My friend got a bacon cheese burger which she scarfed down so I'm assuming it was good too... lol. We got a slice of apple pie for desert but were too full to eat it. However later that night once we got to our destination I had it for a late-night snack with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was every bit as good as homemade. While waiting for my food I noticed there were a lot of families with young kids eating at this place. The place was very clean and well lit, kind of had that classic diner look going. Despite being quite full, the waitresses were all smiling and cheerful and they were on top of everything that was going on. Hopefully some time I will get to visit this place again and get to eat in the restaurant, I would really like to try one of their shakes.

Excellent place to eat in Hot Springs! I had a Turkey Ruben. The turkey was freshly smoked and of exceptionally high quality, and the sauerkraut on it was delicious. The Rye bread was excellent as well. Their Thousand Island dressing was fresh as well and tasted homemade. I got Fried Pickles on the side. Best Fried Pickles in town! I love the long spears, and they were seasoned and fried to perfection. Their Ranch dressing was fresh and tasted homemade as well. Their fries were also good too. Better than most places. Our server Brandi was friendly and did an exceptional job to give us a pleasant experience. They also have a good Chicken Caesar Sandwich. All in all, I had a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to come back! Update: Went back the next day. Had a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was delicious as well. The fried chicken fillet was fresh, and the Buffalo sauce is mixed with Ranch so it has a kick without being overwhelmingly spicy. It's the perfect combination. Brandi served us again and did an excellent job. I also got to sample one of their chicken strips, and it was delicious and thick and juicy. I want to go back and try one of their Turkey Burgers as well. There's just so much good stuff to choose from there, that it makes going back each time fun!

The food was decent, but pricey! 8 dollars for a patty melt! The place is for the atmosphere and the sweets. I had a shake, which was superb! My kids would love this place, oldies music playing with kid's coloring sheets hung up all over. I saw they had "adult" shakes too.

This is a tasty burger. Crispy bacon, fresh veggies, toasty bun. Staff is really friendly, as well. We would eat here again.

Pro's: Very good shakes here! The atmosphere is nice especially in warmer weather were you can use the patio area. Servers are very nice here and attentive. Burgers and grilled chicken are good eats; get the avocado on them. Con's: You have to pay extra for a side of fries or onion rings?? Your sandwich comes with chips; just generic ruffles like crisps; I would recommend the ownership change that one! Summary: All in all a nice diner like atmosphere and good place for burger and a shake!

Delicious fried pickles! Quick service for what seemed like a short staffed day! Great caramel shake as well. Was overall very happy!

I like the place. Something isn't right with management though. They have some very good employees. Nice friendly waitresses. If they don't do something with their marketing, this place won't be here in a year. Newks is putting y'all's ass under.

First time eating at this restaurant; we stopped here because of the name! I started with the rodeo burger. It comes with bacon and onion rings on top and the delicious rodeo sauce. The French fries were nothing special. Our server suggested the apple pie a la mode and he was right! It not only smelled delicious, it was great tasting as well. Very friendly service.

Ugh! Horrible. The adult shakes sound great... but I didn't have one. The food though, was just awful. Also, they've been here for about 2 years... and the place only has 3 parties here -- and we're leaving with no plan to EVER return. My advice: Eat somewhere else.

Great burgers and the BEST double-chocolate adult shake I've ever had! OK, I had never had one before, but MAN was it GOOD! Decent prices.

My husband and I ate lunch here today and the service was very good. Hubby had the Reuben (2nd time for him) and I had the Classic Burger. Both sandwiches were well crafted. We will definitely make a return visit.

The service was terrible. We had to wait quite a while for our drink order. When we ordered the meal he forgot what we ordered between the time we ordered and when he reviewed the order (he didn't write it down). The waiter forgot to put in our appetizer order (which was comped) and messed up the main order. It also took quite a while to get the check and have it returned afte payment.
